This is a dry pastle drawing on plain white paper of an african baby. (Isn't she cute!) This is going on my "Religion and Race" page of my project, joining my pen study of the asian guy, and another yet to be decided on drawing.
I found the hair and angle to be the hardest parts of this, and I am unhappy with how the eyes came out as the light in the right eye was covered by my overload of black.... (=[ It made me sad...) But overall it's fine, I can see alot I could fix, but my pastles are being very unreasonable. It's not the greatest media to do people in, so do it at you're own risk.
Equipment:
- Dry coloured pastles
- Rubber
- HB Pencil (Outline)
- Q-tips
- Cotton wool
- Tissue paper
- Fixative
Size: Exactly an A4 page
Duration: Around five hours or so...
